Here are some scenes from the Mirna Valerio x Aire Libre trail running trip to Acadia in June:

Whew! What an amazing weekend it was! Alongside Ian Ramsey, Ana, and Mirna it was so fun to see this trip finally come together after a few years of planning and I was so thankful to get to meet this group of runners.
We had so much rain but I think it provided some quieter trails for barefoot running, group singing, and free-flowing conversations. I’ve known of Mirna for years through films on her and posts on Instagram and it was so special to see her many sides from trail running teacher to singer to forest bathing guide in person.
This was also an Acadia redemption for me, the last two visits two Acadia were fraught: on one, I twisted my ankle and couldn’t run for months, and on the other, I was running alone and got bit by a dog. This time, it was all injury-free joyful running with new friends!
If you’re ever on Mount Desert Island, I’d recommend starting your trip with a visit to the Abbe Museum to learn more about the Wabanaki Nations history in the region. This was my first visit to the museum and I’m very interested to spend more time on my next trip.
