Yesterday, I spent the morning with local author Chelsea Steinauer-Scudder in the grasslands of Kennebunk Plains. I had never been there before but a friend had recently mentioned it as a unique habitat in Maine and it resembles the grasslands of Nantucket and Oklahoma, where Chelsea grew up, so we thought it would be a good fit. It was a chilly morning but wonderful to stroll around the sandy plains with Chelsea to find some good spots for a portrait for her upcoming book and other photos for posters and promotional materials.
