I was going through some recent archives as I update my portfolio website and was struck by the mountains of portraits I’ve taken at MIT over the years. Most of this work has been for the MIT News website but I’ve also done some special projects for different departments.
For the past five years, I’ve photographed some of the smartest students at one of the most prestigious universities in the world: all the MIT finalists for distinguished fellowships like the Rhode, Marshall, and Fulbright. I feel lucky to have had a few minutes to talk with each of them and am very curious who among them is going to be running for President or winning a Nobel Prize in a few decades.
Though any student could win each fellowship, only a few students will actually win so I’m never sure who’s photos will get used.
